Help identifying blade layer

   I found this odd thick blade that says "Komann." I checked the Komann blade website but couldn't find it. It doesn't have a label nor sticker on the handle; only a metal tag.

Can you help me identify the weird purple fibrous layer it comes with?The outer plies look like Hinoki but I can't be sure.

The blade is about 9mm thick and is about Off speed, slower and more controllable than my 1 ply Hinoki.
