I want to share my experience using OX long pimples/pips. I have 2 Donic Defplay Senso v3 blades. 1st blade : Sauer and Troger Hellfire X OX red (bh) + Friendship 729 Battle 2 Provincial black H39 +- 2mm (fh). 2nd blade : Tibhar Grass D.Tecs OX red (bh) + Friendship 729 Battle 2 Pro black H40 +- 2mm. I play close to the table, but I'd like to be able to chop 1-2m from the table (most of the time when I play double). What I've found so far: 1. HX has more control than GDT. 2. HX is a real LP, but playing with GDT is like playing with my other medium pips, Friendship 563 1.8mm. 3. GDT is faster than HX. It's too bounchy. Most of the time after I lost playing with GDT, I can beat the other, the same player using HX. HX give more problem to them compared to GDT. 4. HX is better in blocking loop. With GDT, I have to close the blade a bit. 5. GDT is better in chopping. Using HX, I can only do a little chopping when I'm away from the table, but the ball is still dangerous to the opponent. If I did it correctly, the ball will fly fast to other side of the table. Summary: I prefer Hellfire X OX than Grass D.Tecs. I still want to be able to maximize GDT, though. It has some potential. Bonus: 1. Battle 2 Provincial and Battle 2 Pro are great rubbers. They can block looping easily. 2. The Pro version is harder than the Provincial, but it's spinier . If you love to loop, get Battle 2 Pro/Provincial.
