Hi,
here comes a Butterfly Korpa for sale (only). It is from 1968. The veneers are nearly equal (thickness). It has got small cracks at the edge (see pics: no 4 photographed from the side; no 5 same but photographed from above). The numbers are the date from the rubbers. Pic 3 you can see the rest of the Swedish "Tre Kronor"-sticker. Offers by private message. Thank you. Hansi |

I think you are wrong. This racket comes from Sweden. Formerly every racket you have bought in Sweden has had this sticker.

Exactly, Stiga is a Swedish table tennis brand. Butterfly is a Japanese table tennis brand. Therefore, this makes the blade Stiga, which comes from Sweden. All Stiga blades have that sticker. All Butterfly blades have a Butterfly metal tag |

I know. But on this picture you can see the rest of the Butterfly sticker. The Butterfly metal tag is not on blades from 1968. Other blades (Donic, Banda) which are bought in Sweden have got the "Tre Kronor" sticker. It is not the Stiga sticker. It is the sticker of the Swedish table tennis association. http://iof1.idrottonline.se/default.aspx?id=5028 Edited by Hansi Blocker - 07/22/2011 at 5:14pm |

hmmm...interesting, I didn't know that. Thanks for pointing it all. So the blade is a Butterfly blade and not the Stiga blade then? Perhaps a Stiga sticker was put on?

First you can see a Stiga Alsér handle with "Stiga"-sticker.
Second one is a popular Waldner racket with the "Tre Kronor"-sticker |

Blades that are made in Sweden have that sticker, especially in the 60s and 70s the swedish wood is legendary. I'm sure butterfly had this all-wood blade made in Sweden, that's why you see the sticker.
