Not sure exactly what you mean but I was looking around for used rubbers with sponge above 45 degree to try. That's a hard setup.

Rubbers with sponge that's soft is easy to control. You can easily make your shots as well as defending. But the shots are softer, with less power, and can easily return by your opponent as well. The best you can do is just to play an all around game.

With hard sponge the loops (and drives, etc) are heavier and more powerful, making it hard for your opponent to control. Thus your offense gets better by the change of equipment. Of course, you may have to generate more power yourself.

For example, Timo Boll use Sriver with a hard sponge. His attack game is much better than his defense because of it. But he is not so all around anymore, not like the Waldner style anyway. I hope I'm being clear.....

used to be made before the advent of sponge.

long pips on both side . actually playing with the opponent spin completely . When you serve , you cannot escape from any side . Better to play flat . But this players are generally good in playing flat . Well If you get the idea , then it is very easy to control the game .

hardbat is very good for whacking the ball at really high speeds
Blade: Stiga Clipper Wood(84g)
Forehand Rubber: Hurricane 3- provincial verson
Backhand Rubber: Hurricane 3

It is better to play your opponent's weaknesses than to play your strengths...

Yup

It is no problem

It is only in the Olympics and that type of competitions where you may not use OX rubber. That's rubbish by my opinion.
