Hi Smile. I was just wondering if all Donic and Stiga blades are made in Sweden. I heard some Butterfly blades are made in China and I was wondering if Donic and Stiga do the same thing. Thanks :D

Yes

Some Donic blades are sourced from 729. In particular the glass fibre blades.

Butterfly blades with JTTA are made in Japan, but blades like the Timo Boll Forte are sourced from Yin He/Galaxy/Milky way

The Stiga CR series is very similar in construction to the Galaxy U series.

stiga have their own factory. but there is a small number of their blades that are made in china (e.g. V-1 carbon).

most yasaka blades are from woodhouse, who also produce some for Donic.

is the "woodhouse" a common factory for all blades made in Sweden? ie. Yasaka, stiga, avalox,Donic, andro, etc....
Also,  from most blades I've seen and hit with, IMO the best quality are those made in Japan

Anybody knows which Yasaka is not made in Sweden?  How about their most popular blades, such as Extra 3D, Gatien Carbon and Ma Lin Carbon?  Yasaka catalog proudly states that their blades are made in Sweden.

i agree with that--the best quality is from japan.

as for whether stiga is made in sweden i've always wondered. cuz i have an old stiga blade from 10 yrs. ago and it has the yasaka logo on the bottom of the handle.

also, i've bought stiga blades in japan and i noticed that they were consistently lighter then the same blades here (in north america).

thats normal...all JTTAA approved blades...(i.e. most blades sold in asia) need to be made by brands that are approved by JTTAA.,...thus Stiga and Donic blades in Japan are also made at the Yasaka factory in JPN....thus bearing the Yasaka logo and  JTTAA imprint on the side.

http://www.yasaka-jp.com/ca_rack/s225.html

that is an example of the OC CR sold in japan....has the Yasaka name plate at the bottom.

On the contrary, blades sold in Europe and North/South America do not need to be made in japan or bear the logo's on the bottom.  So that usually is why they are cheaper.

I'm not so sure about other brands but I know Yasaka Sweden and Stiga Sweden make their blades at woodhouse in SWE.
