I have a Timo Boll Spirit with old BTY metal logo. Probably around 8 to 9 years old now. No major damage. Slight dings and dent. Nothing that will affect play.

It seems to me that you're sitting on a gold mine which you didn't realize b4. Ermmm...I'm just curious abt what the OP meant when he stated that his TBS ST has been "Seasoned to perfection." How on earth does one do that?
That means I'm also sitting on a diamond mine then, so, @John, we both can retire right NOW after selling all our shares of gold & diamond mines.

Question for those who actually played both old and new versions of the same BTY blades:
Do old black metal logo Butterfly play better at least in some models? I have Cypress-S in both versions. To me, they play much the same. I do think the older label looks better though. But this is 1-play Hinoki and I have no experience about other blades in 2 versions. I have no intention to harm the sale here by the OP. If people are willing to pay more for the style they like (I am willing to do so for esthetic and nostalgic reasons, up to certain extra $$). Just to understand... thank you. |
