What are the benefits of Tackifire Special-Soft 2.1 sponge rubber? Is it good for chopping?

-considerably lighter than tack c or tack special

-about 10-15% slower due to softer sponge

-great for speed gluing

-okay for chopping... but i found that when it's speed glued it becomes somewhat  inconsistant and it is hard to keep your chops flat...especially at high speeds

imho bty tack series is overrated... if you want a good relatively fast chopping rubber I suggest you get natl globe 999 or geospin tacky... it'll perform just as well... if not better and youll get to keep 20 usd in your pocket.

pretty slow and not all too tacky. Its more of a control rubber. also, just cause it says 'soft' its just as hard as regular sriver. its way harder than the FX series.

Glued, this is one heck of a BH rubber.  Easy to loop with, but it takes a while to get used to the throw.  Plenty of spin and control.  I don't think this rubber was ever intended as a chopping rubber.  Fast pushes seem good, though.

Mr. Varghesep,

I have used Tackifire Special Soft for chopping and it works well for me, especially for mid distance chopping.  The speed is not as fast as what the package claims though.  I find it has excellent for spinny serves, block and attacking underspin.

My gosh. How do you play with different rubbers at the same time? Do you have enough control when you change paddles?
