Why you want a light weight? My impression is the weight shouldn't be too light other wise the quality of the paddle is questionable.

It will hurt the wrist really bad if you play RPB with a heavy setup

85g is golden weight for RW5, or it will be lack of power to penetrate.

I think penetration has little to do with the weight; it has more to do with the blade's stiffness. Too bad, he is not looking for the maplewood 5, I can sell yr blade to him cheap since I drop the blade and switch to shake hand
