This blade is a very good and stable blade.  It's good for someone play close-to-the-table game or play consistent shots from mid-distance...

Speedy, I remember that you once posted on DTTW your collection of 67 blades (if I'm not mistaken), so you've sold/given some since then.  Which ones did you sell/give, and why?  Did you not like them?  Or do you think that they will be more valuable in somebody else hands?

Yes, that's me.  I posted on DTTW before.  Yes, I sold/gave some away since.  Here are the ones: Donic Persson Carbon, Donic CarboTec, Donic Baum Carrera, BTY Ishlion, BTY VSG-1000, BTY Mizutani Jun, BTY Oh Sang Eun, Stiga Super Carbon, Stiga CR, Stiga Aluminum, Tibhar H-9-1, Tibhar Samsonov Carbon, Nittaku KCZ, Nittaku Titan Beat, Nittaku High Power, Joola Kool, Joola MC1, Joola Zoli Cross, Joola Rossi Power, Yasaka Balsa, Yasaka Ma Lin Carbon, Yasaka Synergy, Juic Titanium Turbo...

Sorry, I can't remember them all... why did I sell/give them away?  Well, for so many reasons.  Maybe you are just interested in the list that I don't like.  Here are the bad blades (IMO): Donic Baum Carrera (no feel), Joola Zoli Cross (too slow), Yasaka Synergy (too slow), Tibhar H-9-1 (too much vibration)... everything else are ok...

Thank you Speedy.  The reason I asked is that I have very few collections (really, very few compared to yours) that I don't use at all.  I am thinking of selling or giving but I just can't do it.  The reason I don't use them is not because I don't like them.  I still can play well with them, it just a few suit me more than the others.  I have a hard time letting them go because there are no major flaws in them and some have nostalgic value, but if I don't use them, why keep them?

So I still keep them and care for them (clean them, put them in their boxes, etc.).

That Focus III is good for its price.  If you are using Japanese rubber right now, you will feel it kind of slow at first.  But, if you use 729 rubbers, then this one is on the fast end of 729.  Good luck.

Impressive!

Regarding the two m. maze blades in 11th picture of your first post. Is there any difference between them? The first one has a longer handle?

And how come that you don't have an acoustic among all that blades Tongue

Those M. Maze are great on the backhand.  On the forehand, M. Maze sucks so bad.  They have some kind of energy lost.  If I put 10 in my shot, I get maybe about 7 for my output.  The handle are the same in length.  They only looks like that on the picture.

Acoustic and Violin are the only two I don't buy because I was lucky to tried them first, and I decided not to buy them Smile

Speedy,

I see that you have a few andro blades in your collection.  Could you comment about them in general (quality, playability, feel).  I also see you have two J.M. Saive Kenetic Off-.  I was thinking of getting the J.M. Saive Kenetic Off.  Could you compare the Saive Kenetic blades to say the Maze blade?

By the way, you have a very impressive collection!  I recently sold off most of my collection (http://picasaweb.google.com/robjkc ) on this site thanks to Cole (http://colestt.com), who graciously sold and shipped my blades through his site.

Thanks!

Do you use short-pips on maze's backhand? I've ordered a short-piped rubber but I don't plan to use it on this blade. Sriver EL is just fine for me.

I saw that you get very well with short pips and that might impose a certain style of playing. Can you resume how and for what you can use them?

I don't look for great speed on forehand and a controllable rubber will suit my skills.

First of all, I am a Butterfly lover, but I have to trash the BalsaCarbo X5.  It is the most disappointment blade of Butterfly.  Too much vibration and slow... it's like a piece of paper to me LOL

If you don't look for speed on the FH, then this is a perfect blade for you.  I like Stiga Radical on my BH.  I used it for everything you can think of, blocking, hitting, looping (yes, looping).  I really like it. Smile

Most of the Andro blades are very stable and very good.  However, stay away from the "Super Core CELL".  They are not good at all.

J.M. Saive is a balsa core blade.  Very light very stable... good for close-to-the-table blocker and counter-attacker.

I saw your collection on colestt.com, it's very impressive collection.  I was going to buy that Acoustic and Stiga Energy for my collection, but I just have second thought...

Thanks for the Andro info!  I've always wanted to try one but never have.  I still have the Stiga Energy available.  I only used it once or twice.  I never got used to the Stiga straight handle, it is a little thin, but not as thin as the Acoustic.  I definitely preferred the maze straight handle.  If you want to work out a trade for one of your J.M. Saive's let me know.

Well Robjkc, if you are referring to JM Saive OFF-, then Speedy is correct, it is based on balsa.  It is rather thick.  I don't know how it plays.

If you refer to JM Saive OFF, then it is completely different.  It is thinner and harder.  Ball bounces really high if you bounce ball with bare blade.  Be careful also about the weight, Andro said that average is about 80 gr. for JM Saive OFF, but mine is 94 gram!!!  On the other hand, JM Saive OFF- is lighter (because of the balsa).

@Tiehwen:  Try to find a cheap chinese-made digital balance.  It looks like the one Speedy has.  It costs only $22 - $25.  Reading up to 0.1 gram.  Max. 200 gr.  They have another one up to 300 gr.  I don't know the brand.  The one that I look at TT store has unique name:  CAMRY.  It is made in China.  The store owner told me about the prices mentioned above.  It is accurate because I have many blades that I weighed before and when I checked on that balance, the reading are exactly the same.  Too bad, I don't know where he bought it though.
