Thanks.  Excellent reviews, and your observations are consistent with my experience.  I used T05 on both my FH and BH with celluloid balls, and just backhand more recently (w/Butterfly LSW, and then IF Layer ALC).  

Last October, I switched to D09c on my backhand, with a faster DHS ML5 (W968) blade.  I found it excellent for blocking and for pushing.  The harder sponge helps me block hard loops, since I play close to the table (a 2200 player was pleasantly surprised how well I blocked his loops during practice; I'm 1900).  

The blade and rubber are a system, and I anticipate most people would still prefer the T05 on their backhands, particularly when using stiffer blades.  My brother switched from T05 to D05 on his forehand with the plastic balls, while using a more flexible Liu Shiwen (LSW) blade.
