you should use the search feature in the forum for more answers

how often? when it gets dusty lol....clean your rubbers when its playing characteristics get altered from dust

proper technique? there really isnt a "proper technique"  splash some water and wipe with the sponge i guess

I do it when it looks dirty.(every thirty seconds)Approve There is no real technique you can use a sponge or your hand. Just don't put to much water on.

cleaning and maintaining is crucial for your rubber, use a good cleaner, clean it right after you played and place a sheet of acetate, in the middle of play, normally i use my arm to wipped it, since there is no way specially in tourney you cant be using a sponge, the key there is maintaing your rubber with a good cleaner, i personally use KENETIX (AMERICANTABLETENNIS.COM) best rubber cleaner i ever use, not only it maintan and clean the rubber sheet, it really kept it like new. tons of people swear by it.
