S-AxC is a denser and more tightly woven version of AxC, this is the same concept as ZLC/SZLC and ALC/SALC. The result is a stiffer blade, with a higher reaction and longer and lower trajectory, but that still retains a soft feeling.

Available FS.

- Koto / S-AxC / Ayous / Kiri / Ayous / S-AxC / Koto
- 92.0g
- 5.8mm
- 157x150mm
- FL (101x25-23mm)

- Balance: 2.5cm (Low)

A question here. Is that the frequency(1205Hz) for both sides?
Viscaria FL - 91g
+ Neo H3 2.15 Blk - 44.5g(55.3g uncut bare)
+ Hexer HD 2.1 Red - 49.3g(68.5g 〃 〃)

It is. What we capture is the pitch of the blade, which is related to its stiffness. The stiffness of the blade is just one, the deformation for an applied load is the same for both sides because wood has a linear-elastic behavior.

Thanks. I asked because that's what I expected for asymmetrical blades but I didn't have the hard data(only an educated guess from the limited feedback on the Sword custom blades subforum about a decade ago). Interesting to know that it takes that much asymmetry to make a small difference.

When I make inner/outer combi blades, the frequency value is always the average of what would be expected for each side if they were the same. I have a concept for a blade with different flexibility between sides, but that has been put aside for a while.

One of the weirdest blades I ever made. The wood plies are all made from Kiri, which is pretty uncommon, and the composite layer is Diolen, providing good dampening. This all adds up to what might be the slowest outer fiber ever. It's so weird, you get the same sweetspot and stability you'd expect from a blade with this structure, but the ball just doesn't go! I think this will be very good to some of the unorthodox players out there. Adding to that, there's the Vis shaped flared handle made from cork, which is a first to me too.

Available FS.

- Kiri / Diolen / Kiri / Kiri / Kiri / Diolen / Kiri
- 67.8g
- 5.85mm
- 157x150mm
- FL (101x25-23mm)
- 882Hz
- Balance: 3.9cm (High)

Another one based on a Zetro Quad but with a few changes, Cypress instead of Hinoki and Spectra instead of Zylon. Cypress is the best Hinoki substitute I have, it's a little heavier but shares the same elasticity and softness. Spectra also shares some traits with zylon, they are both very tough, soft and light fibers, so the overall feeling of the blade is soft and elastic with a sharp feedback but no excess vibration. The handle is my favorite ST shape, slightly thicker and rounder than usual.

Available FS.

- Cypress / Spectra / Ayous / soft-carbon / Kiri / soft-carbon / Ayous / Spectra / Cypress
- 89.7g
- 6.7mm
- 157x150mm
- ST (102x28.5x23.8mm)
- 1528Hz
- Balance: 3.1cm (Med)

This time I'm using the owner's photos, along with a little feedback from him

"Apparently it looks so colorful and innocent, but it's quite powerful with aggressive arcs"

A 7ply based on a Gauzy SL, and its 5 ply equivalent. The handles have a big anatomic shape with rounded thumb rests.

I'm calling this a defensive blade, but it's not a slow blade by any means. It's a variation on the Nexy JSH blade, but with Koto top ply instead of Ayous. This makes it a more demanding blade to play in the defensive department, but you get more offensive capabilities. It will also suit an offensive player who enjoys the stability of 7 ply blades, but also larger head sizes.

Available FS.

- Koto / Ayous / Ayous / Ayous / Ayous / Ayous / Koto
- 89.6g
- 6.35mm
- 162x158mm
- ST (102x28.5x23mm)
- 1185Hz
- Balance: 3.4cm (Med)

This one was a challenge, based on a Nostalgic allround but with all the bells and whistles.

If Timo Boll was a girl 🙂

This one isn't particularly soft, I would say it sits in the middle of the hardness spectrum for this kind of composition. However, it's fast, crisp and very stable.

Available FS.

- Koto / ALC / Ayous / Kiri / Ayous / ALC / Koto
- 88.2g
- 5.7mm
- 157x150mm
- STSQ (101x28.5x22.5mm)

Here's what the owner said:

"This is blade eight and nine that I’ve bought from Sérgio. Both of the blades play very, very nicely but the 3+2 is my favourite and the blade I play regurarly.

The 3+2 blade has a soft Hinoki feeling but packs a punch! I can really not get around why there isn’t more Hinoki/ALC blades out there. I couldn’t be happier with this blade.

Spectra is indeed an interesting material. The composition is not as soft (which is the main reason I prefer the other blade) but produces a wonderfully cracking sound at high impact shots.
As before I can highly recommend buying from Sérgio. He’s the man!"
