After hearing some talk about Tenergy shrinking on the blade over time, I'm wondering if I should expect the same from Vega Pro and Vega Europe.
I have a sheet of each coming in the mail.. if I should expect them to shrink, I might not cut them as closely as I usually do with other rubbers. Thanks for any input

I had a Vega Asia which has extremely shrunked. A Vega Pro, however, did not shrunk a bit.
But I have no clue what makes rubbers shrunk. I have a Moon which shrunked extremely, the other Moons I have didn't. |

I have played with Vega Asia and Vega europe for more than 3 months,
and they have never shrunk at all. I, however, use butterfly free chack to attach them on my blade. The rubbers with new sponges like T05, Vega shrink because owners use speed glues to boost them, and change them to test on other blades so many times. Therefore, if you don't want your new rubbers to shrink, do not use speed glue and change to other blades.

I've used more than 20 sheets of Vega Pro and it never shrunk at all..
Just don't use speed glue, bootser or roll tooooo hard... and wait until it dries completely...

I intend to use Elmer's Rubber Cement, allowing it to return to original shape before attaching, and rolling only enough to ensure it goes on flat (as in, bare minimum rolling)
I should have clarified in my first post that I'm aware rubbers will shrink if you speed glue, roll/stretch them, etc... I'm just wondering if the rubber itself can shrink due to a factory tuned sponge or something to that effect. |

I usually don't worry about shrinkage.
If I plan to use the rubber on my setup and not to re-use on another blade, I glue on the new rubber, cut with razor and then apply edge tape. I make sure the edge tape is also touching the sponge.
The rubber is good until it needs replacing.
