I would like to know how to smash sidespin shots. I'm not talking about returning services, but guys who chops shots with side spin and reach at the middle of the table. You can't loop those shots because the balls don't fall from the table.

Will hitting the ball flat (blade 90 degree or perpendicular to the floor) help?

If the ball is higher than the net just watch the ball and kill it.
if in the net open racket a little next time
if too high close racket a little next time.

No special or different kill stroke needed, just practice
