Hello,
I would like to know if there's any affordable Chinese short pips similar to Rakza PO. Somebody brought one and I liked how it behaved like an inverted rubber, basically you could do same strokes with it. My previous pips were DHS sharping and yinhe Pluto but didn't like them because of the lack of spin, the ball just shoots straight out of the table Any thoughts?

Yinhe Uranus Pro (link). Medium sponge has better control, soft sponge has more spin. $10.50 at princett.com. Slower than Rakza PO but much better for backhand. Also a little slower than Nittaku Moristo SP. While it does impart some spin on the ball you would really have to roll instead of using banana flips, similar to what Mima Ito is doing.

Yes, Uranus Poly with standard sponge is famous for having a devilish catapulta to project the ball forward. Uranus Pro version plays still faster. Aliexpress has it on sell for 9 Usd.
Be happy. |

I'm not looking for catapult effect nor speed, I need a rubber that grab the ball and put spin in it with a backhand stroke like chiquita wrist flip.

I have tried a variety of short pips. I can't think of any that can do what you need them to do. If you are able to move away from short pips, I do know that Stiga chop & Drive 1.5, or even 1.1, can do what you need. It has no catapult effect, is very grippy, and is very controllable on a stiff defensive plus or all around blade. I could not get it to work well on a soft or flexy blade.
