Hi All,
Do you know what the differences are between Hurricane 3 and Hurricane 8? I'm specifically interested in the soft versions 3-50 and 8-80. Are there any significant discrepancies in relation to spin, tackiness, speed and control? Thank you

The H3 topsheet is tackier than the H8 topsheet.
I've played with both H3-50 and H8-80. The 80 sponge is definitely got more power behind it than the 50 sponge. So speed goes to H8-80. Control wise, it's dependent on the stroke, I've found the H3-50 to be better for pushes and chopping and also punching, but the H8-80 has a better and longer arc on topspins and flicks.

I found because of the softness and tackiness of the 50 you need to stay at the table where it counterloops very well. It's just too slow once you move away and its hard to get the right angle to loop back over the net from further back.
After using both I have settled on H2 38 degrees because it tougher and cheaper.
