I see one name that is ironically missing from that list.  You need to work on that :).

I played a tourney when I first started.  I'm waiting before I enter another so I can fit into an under 1000 event.  So I've yet to win.  :(

Wow.. A signed kreanga carbon.. you couldn't get them to sign a cheap broken blade or something? it's a shame buying a blade for like a million bucks and then don't be able to use it!! cool though!

Blade: Butterfly M. Maze Off ST

Rubbers: Bluefire M2 2.0

That makes me think.... the real equipment junkies among us should research what blades all the top players are using, buy them all, and attend an ITTF pro tour where most of them are playing.  Then, get all of the blades signed by their famous users; put the signed blades on display in a glass case and have the definitive blade museum for current players.

Here is me (right) with my huge trophy for winning the U1200 at the Killerspin Holiday Open in Chicago; next to me is the Neubauer user I played in the "all Wisconsin" final.  It was a lot of pressure to win as the top seed, even in this lousy ratings bracket.  If I play like a fool and don't get a big ratings boost in my next tournament, I will go back to defend my title LOL.

I've been playing for a little over a  year, and that's REALLY practicing.  I would surely rate my self around 1300-1400.  I played in a tournament a little while ago and got a rating of around eight hundred.  So I'm trying to get my rating up a bit and STILL be able to fit into the  under 1000.   Do you think with a rating of around 4000 that I would be able to place 1st in the U1000 event?

4000? Smile  If so, I anticipate no problems for you in the U1000, the U2500, nor the ITTF World Championships.

Seriously, I was in a similar situation playing the U1200s when my actual playing level in clubs around here was a fair bit higher than that.  However, the low ratings groups are chock full of up and coming talented juniors that will make winning difficult in any tournament.  I had a near, near miss in the semis but got through ok.  You should definitely play all the tournaments you can while your rating is low, because managing the pressure of being a favorite in each match is very good practice.

I didn't mean 4000 I meant 1400.  I'm around 1400 but can still fit into an U1000.   lol @ 4000
