Joo uses his own named blade made by butterfly. The blade is called Joo Se Hyuk. He uses Tackifire Drive 1.7 mm on the forehand and Feint Long II 1.1 on the backhand. If you want to try these rubbers, I have one to sell on http://www.TableTennisNetwork.com. If you need to try Joo Se Hyuk blade, Tom in this forum has a blade to sell. Look for Joo Se Hyuk combo in the thread.

Joo's forehand attacks more than chops, the sponge must be 2.1.
His backhand is another Japanese brand long pips (the same as Chen wexing"s  BH).

Joo plays (played ?) with Tackifire Drive 1.9 mm reglued on FH, Feint Long II 1.1 mm on BH, and maybe he kept his BTY Diode blade which is discontinued, I'm not sure he switched to Joo Se Hyuk medel.

During the 2007 Taipei Open,I got the chance of watching Joo&Chens'
practice.
I checked both of their BHs.
The rumour is right, definitely not  Butflys.

Before being under contract with BTY, Joo played with a TSP Curl P1-R on his BH, so did Chen before being under contract with Joola. "Officialy", Chen plays with a Joola Octopus on his BH.
