I don't quite understand this whole degree thing... Is it the same thing as density ? And how does it influence speed/spin ?

It means that you can't swing hard or it'll bottom out on you. I also find that you tend to lose angles as you get softer and softer, in fact its my opinion that people who use Mark V 30 do so to cover up technique flaws. You can't really speedglue much either, since the sponge is so soft and porous.

That is why I like to use 38-41 deg sponges on fh and 35 on bh.

I tried it after using glued bryce. It really was hard to loop with any real speed but i was rolling the ball more on the backhand instead of just punching with it cos it felt easy. Now i'm back to byrce.
