The event is in Wuxi and continues tomorrow (July 29); both men and women.

Today Wang Liqin lost to Ma Long 2-3. Wang Nan came back from 0-2 to beat Rao Jingwen.

Is there anyway to get tickets? I'm very interested in watching professional players play. Where do I find out about this information?

Here is a full story but its in Chinese:
http://sports.sina.com.cn/o/2008-07-28/22423815092.shtml

CCTV Olympic televised the first three matches. Unfortunately, I missed to record the first one. Only a part of the first game of the third match was televised.

I didnt find any TV schedule for 29s matches.

Many thanks, some great tabletennis there! Shame that Chen couldn't make use of the high lead at the end.

after watching the highlights on youtube, wang liqin and ma lin are the ones having the most trouble against their compatriots.  you guys think they are getting old?  ma lin had so much trouble against ma long that he had no chance to counter attack at all.  wang liqin had to take chen qi down on the fifth game.  wang hao is adding some tactics to his game now and plays a little different.  overall, ma lin played the worse.

I read impressions of some euro players from this year's ITTF Tour tourneys and they basically say that it is a well known fact for the last year that

a) Wang Liqin is slipping, lacking motivation, and generally getting tired
b) Ma Lin is becoming sloppy, showing off, but is still motivated and dangerous
c) Wang Hao has none of those problems but he is a bit overwhelmed with the extremely high expectations, since he is #1 and he lost OG 2004, everyone is expecting him to win everything and Olympics as well...

They all say it's a shame that Ma Long didn't get to the Olympics instead of Wang Liqin - the opinion is that sport-wise he deserved it more... but politics an connections and inertia played some role...

I still think that it would be a great ending of a almost godlike career if Wang Liqin got a Olympic Gold medal in China. I think that he will quit after Olympics
