Why dont you ask them if they are gonna make it commercial and if they can send you some for testing?

Evolution is on the new LARC list:

http://www.ittf.com/stories/pictures/LARC_33B.pdf

It has:

017 Evolution EL - P
018 Evolution MX - S

This was a great signature until I realised it was overrated.

i have been asking them for some time now and they said the rubbers are still under testing up to now. Meaning, they continually improve the topsheet and sponge as feedback from their pro players. im hoping before the year ends they can send me samples.

Does anyone know if Timo Boll ever play ZLC? Sometimes I saw his blade is more ZLC grey than ALC blue on video but that could be due to lighting.

This is most likely due to lighting and poor video quality.

mm I think that Tan blade is a old nittaku/avalox P700

I found this photo in google of a old avalox and... it's too similar to the tan blade

anyone know what version of spectol use tan?? classic or 21??   also this is a BW or a H3 neo???

EDIT:

I found a nittaku/avalox P500 darker than the classic P500

so, maybe tan blade is a darker version of the normal P700???

The older the model the darker the handle. There are some ones in which the handle is extremely dark (I believe Wang Tao used this version). These handles were very dark, most likely from late 80s to very early 90s. The one Tan has is most likely from the early/mid 90s (Ma Wenge/Kong Linhui used this version). Now the later versions are the lightest color. of course, Nittaku p700/p500 is worth much much more than the regular avalox version.

spectol does not have a white sponge. Spectol Speed has a white sponge, but Regular spectol and spectol 21 have that light orange sponge in the picture.

it's true that Tan have 2 blades the P700 and a DHS, in a very few videos you can see the DHS handle, but it's clearly that in the last european championship, he use a nittaku/avalox P700... and I think that 70 or 80% of the time, Tan use the old nittaku/avalox P700

mmm interesting.... maybe Tan use the speed sponge version

I think Tan could be using Nittaku Runlox-5.  From paddlepalace.com, it's the same as Avalox P500.

Tan would use a 7ply blade for it's rigidity in attacking with the short pips. I don't think a 5-ply blade, especially as soft as runlox-5 would be something he'd use. just my 2c.

I think you're right.  Especially, he has pips on his backhand, so I think the Nittaku/Avalox blade would be the one he uses.

I haven't played with the p700 myself, but if you can, try to find an old one. It doesn't have to be one as old as Tan's, but I believe the new ones aren't as good. I believe they used to be solid handles, now they part hollow. I think the feeling has changed quite a bit over the years.

Is this your blade? By "find it" do you mean,  'found it in your closet'? :)  Would you be willing to sell this P500?

thank you, Smile
