Last week alone I used Talon, DtecS and Saviga V ox on various blades including Mat Pro Special, Defplay Senso, Bulldozer and Firewall Plus... My game is very confusing even to myself now, lol!
Still, I managed to get some wins over pretty good players last week including Raymond, Duc and Justin at LATTA, so I guess I am still playing okay...
I should have enough energy left to go to Gao Jun's club.. Well, it depends on the temperature at LATTA.. If it's like in Florida without AC, I don't think that I'll be able to play all that much but if the temperature is lower, I should be ok..

Round robin stage of the Open Singles starts at 6pm on Saturday.  From what I've been told, top-16 players are seeded directly into the main draw, so they most likely won't be playing in the first stage...

Really? Gao Jun & Shen Yan Fei got 3rd place!!!!!!!! Remember this pair played in Pro tour not long ago and did well. Who beat them?
Jeff LH can handle Yang Zi & Pan Gang!!! Very impressive.

Gao and Shen Yan Fei lost to the eventual winners JLH and Lin Ju.  Jeff was simply fantastic, and Lin Ju was spectacular throughout the event, much better than his current world #88 ranking would indicate... I remember he was ranked in the world's top 40 before... As a matter of fact he thoroughly outplayed Yang Zi in the finals.  Yang looked somewhat lethargic to me.  We'll see if the real deal shows up tomorrow in Open Singles...

Saw some great matches. Good Job to Jeff Huang for performing well under pressure. It was a close 5th game.

Getting psyched for my first tournament in almost a year. Just saw my line up and hope I'm ready for those sandbaggers. They things people will do to win $300-400 for first place =)

Top seed Yang Zi was upset in 7 games by Zhou Xi (a new import from China), who is currently one of the coaches in one of the TT clubs in the Bay Area.

The most exciting part was that Zhou was trailing in the 7th game 3-9. From that point, he won 7 straight points and finally ended up winning 14-12.

If you are referring to Molla losing to Zhou, that was very much expected. Zhou is in a different class altogether. In our league matches last month he literally toyed with Barney. Those who don't know, Zhou is currently rated 2748 on USATT rating and was on the Chinese Nation team in the past.

As posted on another forum (I suppose "Wang Zeng" is Wang Zhen from Canada):

"Women's Singles: Shen Yanfei over Wu Yue 3-1 in the final. Shen over Sara Hazinski in the semifinal while Wu over Ariel Hsing 3-2 in the other semi.

Open Singles: Zhou Xin will play with Wang
Zeng in the final shortly. Zhou over Zaman Molla 4-0 in the semi and Wang over Shen Yanfei 4-1 in the other semi."

Is there a complete draw layout somewhere? There definitely should have been live streaming for the event!
