Thanks Janus. Yan An has a nice style, two winged all-rounder, very quick on his feet, doesn't play this super-safe game you see with some players, will be fun to follow him. Quite compact forehand swings there. Almost looks like a Japanese player with more power.

Great to see another left hander in the Chinese ranks.  Is it just me or do the Chinese loopers treat choppers as if they are the dirt underneath fingernails?

Shang Kun and Song Hongyuan will also be up there. The last generation had Hao Shuai and Chen Qi, but hopefully they will be met with more success.

Yin Hang seemed to have alot of potential then fall off the map. I believe I saw something about back problems, and he seems slightly out of shape these days

Xu Xin....great player....but....needs to cut down on the showboating. He started goofing off from the first round all the way thru to the finals. Almost cost him in the finals.....losing the 6th set and putting unnecessary pressure on himself in order to close out the match.

Zhou also missed shots that he could have made so I think it goes both ways.  It took Zhou two games to realize that he had to play to a level he probably had never played to, but as it got winnable, his poise was remarkable.  I'm sure if Zhou and Xu had hit before the match for 2 hours, the result would have been a bit different and not necessarily in Xu's favor because Xu is more familiar with shakehanders that Zhou is with RPB.

Zhou choked to lose the last game with substandard play.

Xu is not as good in rallies as the best Chinese; he lost to Liqin this way. He leaves to table too soon and gets too far from the table. His arrogance allows him to mess about rather than focus on proper play. These are real obsatacles for this big talent.

zhou sidespin loop is really devastating. Look how far he comes over the ball when he puts it away, Xu xin usually has no problem returning loops from far away but zhou yu's sidespin loops were dynamite. I thought Fang Bo was the future but if Zhou steps up his backhand to be more consistent and less wristy, I think we have a zhang jike with a better forehand
