The Spark old tag i would not call super rare, but since Butterfly released it later in Europe most of the ones here have the silver tag. It is a nice model but for really good Players it is too slow. |

104. Butterfly Keyshot Light
Weight: 80 Gramms Sized: 15,7/15,1cm Thickness: 6,9mm 5-Ply (3 Wood/2 Arylate) with silver tag and serial. Providing Medium Fast Speed Butterfly rated it into the Off section. With softer Rubbers i think it is more an OFF- blade for topspin play and strong attackers will definitly feel that Keyshot Light is missing power. Its famous ancestor had more Power due to two additional Wood plies. In Germany the Blade is still very popular and I really think that the Keyshot Light is already a kind of "Youngtimer" Blade Composition of Keyshot Light is: Ayous-Arylate-Kiri-Arylate-Ayous Available handles have been ST, FL and AN. Keyshot Light was sold at 80€. Edited by Timo1978 - 02/17/2015 at 12:28pm |

105. Butterfly Iolite ST
Weight: 92 Gramms Sized: 15,7/15,1cm Thickness 7,6mm 5-ply-wood (3 Wood/ 2Arylate-Carbon) with old tag and without Serial. Released in 2000 the Iolite has been the companion of Viscaria in the Hybrid-Class of the Arylate-Carbon category. The Iolite is faster, stiffer and lighter than Viscaria due to its huge Kiri Central ply and provides hard feel. In the early 2000s only Sardius and Gergely have been faster than the Iolite. The ST handle is much more comfortable compared with the Slim FL handle. Iolite: 100X21mm --> Viscaria: 100X25mm Blade composition of Iolite should be: Hinoki/Arylate-Carbon/Kiri/Arylate-Carbon/Hinoki Available handles have been: ST and FL. Iolites were sold at 113$, 22$ more than the Viscaria. In case somebody feels tempted by the Iolite ST Member Emihet has a nice one for sale at the FS section atm Edited by Timo1978 - 02/17/2015 at 12:29pm |

107. Butterfly Timo Boll Spirit AN
Weight: 88 Gramms Sized: 15,7/15,0 Thickness: 5,8mm 7-Ply-Wood (5 Wood/2 Arylate-Carbon) with old tag and without Serial. The TBS was the official follower model of the Viscaria. The Spirit was lunched to build a "lighter" Viscaria. The AN has been officially released in 2001 when the ST and FL handles had been modified. The Timo Boll Spirit is stiffer and harder than Viscaria and slightly faster. However Viscaria therefore offers much better feel and control. There are only small differences regarding the thickness of the blade Composition (Koto-ALC-Limba-Kiri-Limba-ALC-Koto) TBS were priced at 75-80€ in 2001. Edited by Timo1978 - 02/17/2015 at 3:08pm |

I'm really thinking you'd better start your own collection thread rather than keep on posting your pics in Timo's topic. That would be normal.

kakapo maybe you are friend of Timo's and you say these, but The thread writes the way of butterflies and not Timo's collection, and that's the reason I kept on posting these three blades. But if Timo wants not to have my posts in his thread he will feel FREE to tell me that, believe me.

Hi Guys.
No Need for fights! On the one Hand Kakapo is right regarding the fact that the Way of the Butterflies is a collection post (as stated in the introduction) while on the other hand Strataras is right that the title of the post may be misleading and can motivate other members to post Pictures of their blades/collection as well. Since the Pictures of Strataras blades are really nice there is no need for erasing or editing them, if someone would post Pictures of blades that look like a battlefield that would be another Thing In the end what really Counts is the Passion towards tabletennis and equipment in general and i am sure both of you have plenty of it. Cheers, Timo Edited by Timo1978 - 07/23/2014 at 7:55am |

109. Butterfly Michael Maze ALC FL
Weight: 89 Gramms Sized: 15,7/15,1cm 7-ply-wood (5 Wood/2 Arylate-Carbon) with old tag and without Serial. After Michael Maze had won the European Youth Title in 1999 Butterfly released the Maze ALC in 2002. The Blade is considered as the smaller Brother of the Timo Boll Spirit. Main Difference regarding the composition are the softer outer plies (Limba instead of Koto) The Maze ALC was sold at 81,50€ an available with ST, FL and AN Handle. Average weight was about 85 Gramms so this FL should be one of the heavier ones. Edited by Timo1978 - 02/17/2015 at 12:30pm |

Super blade Maze old tag! This blade has been my dream but I satisfied with what I found, with silver tag. To take good care of it and when you want to give to someone thinking of me first.

That is correct. Before he started using the TBS with ALC handle it is said that Timo Boll used an old stiga blade. BTW I just attached T05s on the blade...very hard to glue the Rubbers due to the sealing. |

Indeed, it is not easy to glue the first time after Michel Detrigne's work :))) You have to put several layers of glue otherwise it is not fixed.

110. Butterfly Kong Linghui Special
Weight: 85 Gramms Sized: 15,7/15,1cm Thickness: 6,0mm 5-ply-wood (2Arylate-Carbon/3 Wood) with Serial. Refering to the Serial number this blade seems to be one of the last units that got the old metal tag. Rated in the Off Section the Kong Linghui Special is providing excellent feel due to its Hinoki outers and has a "soft" touch but is not a slow blade at all. It is said that Maze used to Play with a KLHS in the past. In Asia it is still very popular,in Europe hard to get some. Kong Linghui Premium is even rarer. Blade Composition should be: Hinoki-ALC-Kiri-ALC-Hinoki The KLHS was sold at 100 USD, available handles have been ST,FL and AN. Now I am very keen which member will be the first one that asks the question i am already waiting for.... Edited by Timo1978 - 02/17/2015 at 2:07pm |

111. Butterfly Cofferlait
Weight: 89 Gramms Sized: 15,9/15,1cm Thickness: 6,3mm 5-ply-wood (3 Wood/2 ALC) with old tag and without Serial and regular Head. Rated OFF the Cofferlait with its nice Hinoki Outers has a very nice Hinoki handle. What makes it Special is the fact that handle and the start of the head have 7 plies which get reduced to 5 plies later. Butterfly was claiming that it provides a high catapult effect at low speed like an OFF+ blade while on fast speed Cofferlait should provide more Control and turn to a Kind OFF- Blade. Available handles only FL, the silver tag Version is still available at 149,90€. Edited by Timo1978 - 02/17/2015 at 12:32pm |
